How We Test and Rank Porn Sites

The short version: Every site in our directory is checked by a person, then re-checked by automated scans. We score each one on safety, ad behavior, video quality, billing transparency, and usability. Affiliate commissions never change a ranking. The full details are below.

People searching for porn sites run into fake play buttons, pop-unders, hidden subscriptions, and low-quality streams. This page explains exactly how Porn Sites XXX decides which porn sites get listed, how they are ranked, and what gets a site removed. Our directory currently covers %s adult platforms. All performers on listed sites must be adults (18+), and we only list platforms that follow the policies in the content and safety policy below.

Our 6-step audit for every porn site

No site is listed on the strength of a press release or a submission form. Each one goes through the same sequence. Edit the steps below so they match what your team actually does.

  1. Domain and ownership check. We look up the domain history, hosting, operator, and company information, and confirm HTTPS is correctly configured.
  2. Safety scan. We test for malware, forced redirects, pop-unders, fake download prompts, and deceptive buttons on desktop and mobile.
  3. Hands-on account test. A reviewer creates an account where needed, browses, searches, plays videos, and tests the sign-up flow.
  4. Streaming and quality test. We measure start-up time and buffering, and check whether the advertised resolution (720p, 1080p, 4K, VR) is native or upscaled.
  5. Billing and privacy review. We read the terms, trial rules, and cancellation process, and check for discreet billing descriptors and accepted payment methods.
  6. Compliance check. We confirm age verification, a visible 2257 or equivalent record-keeping statement, a DMCA/takedown process, and a consent policy for uploaded content.

A site that fails step 2 or step 6 is not listed, regardless of how popular it is.

How we score and rank porn sites

Rankings come from a composite score out of 100. The weights are published here so you can see what matters most to us.

Scoring weights
CriterionWeightWhat we look at
Safety and security30%Malware, redirects, pop-unders, HTTPS, fake buttons
Ad intrusiveness20%Ads per page, overlay and autoplay behavior, ad-blocker walls
Video and content quality20%Native resolution, bitrate, library size, update frequency
Usability and mobile10%Search, filters, player controls, page speed on mobile
Value and user feedback15%Price versus content, reader reports and ratings
Billing transparency5%Clear pricing, trial terms, easy cancellation, discreet descriptors (Usually these things are ok with the listed sites)

Category rankings, such as free porn tubes, premium porn sites, live cam sites and VR porn sites, use the same rubric, with extra checks for each format (for example, headset playback for VR and chat and tipping tools for cams).

How and where we test

  • Devices: Recent iPhone and Android phones, Windows desktops, Meta Quest for VR
  • Browsers: Chrome & Safari with and without an ad blocker
  • Connections: Home broadband (300 MBit) and mobile data (5G & Throtled) & PageSpeed Insights
  • Accounts: Pay sites give us accounts. If we did not get one, it is mentioned in the review

How often we re-test

Sites change quickly, so we re-check them on a schedule: automated safety scans twice daily, full manual re-audits at least every 6 months for popular sites, and an immediate re-audit when a reader reports a problem. Each review shows the last check date, and the log below summarizes the changes. Niche sites may not be updated as often, but we try to cover all recent changes.

Editorial independence and affiliate links

We do not sell rankings. Sites cannot pay for a higher position, a better score, or a changed review. We do earn commissions when readers sign up through some of our links, and that income funds testing and hosting. Commercial relationships are handled separately from editorial decisions, and affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow". If a site with an affiliate program fails our audit, we remove it anyway.

Content and safety policy

We only list platforms that restrict their content to adult performers (18+), require consent from everyone appearing in uploaded material, and offer a working takedown process. We do not list sites that host non-consensual or illegal material, or that rely on malware or deceptive advertising. If you find a listed site that breaks these rules, tell us and we will re-audit it promptly.

When we remove or demote a porn site

  • Malware, forced redirects, or deceptive ads found during testing
  • Credible reports of non-consensual or illegal content that the site fails to address
  • Hidden subscriptions, blocked cancellations or misleading billing
  • Sustained drops in video quality, uptime or usability
  • The site stops responding to takedown requests

Frequently asked questions

Can a porn site pay to be ranked higher?

No. Rankings are based only on our published scoring criteria. See editorial independence.

Do you make money from the sites you list?

Some listed sites pay us an affiliate commission when a reader signs up. This never affects scores or positions, and failing sites are removed whether or not they have an affiliate deal.

How can I tell whether a review is up to date?

Each review shows its last audit date, and the change log on this page records additions, removals and demotions.

How do I suggest a site or report a problem?

Use the contact options below. Safety reports are prioritized.
